Some big 80s thing was my one fear when I read that interview, but what he said about his own preferences in the rest of the interview made that sound unlikely.

I agree that it's weird to have this release come on the heels of the (also excellent, IMO) Hartford release. You'd think they would have waited on that one if they had this one in the works, or maybe they're trying to provide different levels of 1977 engagement for different budgets.

BTW, my next hope after this run was the June 70 Fillmore West run. There've been no 1970 releases since the two download series single CD releases. Maybe we'll see that in the next Road Trip.
